As I was enjoying lunch at Echo Park Lake, a Mama duck was seen here swimming along, her ducklings following behind her in an orderly row. SparkleBlob’s proverbial ducks are gathering into place as well, here’s what’s happening with all departments as of late:
CraftNight: Every week as usual, but a special KID-ACCESS CRAFTNIGHT at Dyke Day on June 7th! Dykes of all genders and our allies are welcome!
Gothtober: The theme will be very literary this year, Gothtober’s Bookshelf will be calling out for artists sometime in July/August, and our programming is getting more ghoulish than evarrrr! Other unexpected surprises are afoot… but we can’t tell you about them just yet!
Holiday Puppet Show: Christmas in June? OF COURSE! Gallagher and Parr are bandying about the ideas, honing, hammering, shaping them into something you’ll want to see in December. Meanwhile, Shannon Dedman wonders if every script we write is designed specifically to kill us, as far as all the materials and props we use/make every show!
Bicycle Rides: Planning stages are in the works for an “Off Model” ride, as well as some other thrilling excursions.
Non Profit Status: Automata is our fiscal receiver as we fill out the forms and pay the fees to become a non profit! If you wish to make a donation to our organization, your contribution is tax deductible through Automata.
Board Members: You can see all Directors of our illustrious SparkleBoard, check ’em out, they are helping SparkleBlob grow, improve and operate with vitality and glamour.
